I live along the mighty Mississippi River in Champlin, Minnesota (just outside of Minneapolis). I love to spend time on the river with my husband and lovely ten-year-old daughter.
My daughter, whom I adopted from Kazakhstan in 2000, is the best thing I've ever done in my life. I traveled to Kazakhastan and stayed there for 26 days, visiting her at the orphanage, going to court, and working the ropes (system) to bring her home. I married Rick six months later. I'm somewhat of a risk taker, and I take the steps to do what is important to me.
